Through the darkness a single thread of silvery light stretched out before her. Reaching out to grasp it her hand clutched the thread with the strength of all the hopes and dreams of a thousand children. In a moment of relief, her weight was lifted by the thread. Pain and disbelief suspended for a brief moment in darkness. The thread suddenly snapped under the weight.She awoke.The smell of a man filled her nostrils as she rolled over. "just a dream" she thought, as a smile flashed across her freckle stained face. Looking upon the sleeping beast that lay beside her she reveled in the moments of peace she had before he stirred."another day" she sighed as she slipped out from under the silk sheets that had caressed her the night before. Her figure silhouetted by the window behind her, she began to cover the body God had blessed her with."Too many men, not enough coin" she laughed as she collected the money by the bedside. When did she return? When had she remembered us? I’m not sure… But all I know, was that she was right. You never truly forget someone. That’s why you see unknown people in your dreams… That’s why you’ve felt like you’ve seen someone before. Because you never really forget a person. Especially those so close to you. They especially are imprinted in your heart and soul. And those never change. They always stay the same. They’ll always be with you. And when time, when it all stops. Your memories stop with them. Making them forever, enclosed, and frozen, within you. Your heart, your soul, and your body.
