I've always loved this track. Warren's arpeggio guitar line and the almost hypnotic chord movement paired with the super simple, super effective bass line by John work so beautifully together. Add in Simon and Nick and you've got a stellar track. It should have been a single! I also love that it's short and sweet like a great Smiths song.
You will hear the Kubicki's amazing 36" D string in the bridge section. Just play that D on your A string if you don't have a Kubicki Ex-Factor, a 5 string or a de-tuned E string. ;-)
Dedicated to Phil Kubicki who passed away earlier this year. Thank you for creating such a wonderful instrument. You will be missed.

I love all of Zuma's Duran Duran bass lesson videos.. If I remember correctly, 'We Need You' was written during the early 'Notorious' recordings about Andy who was off in LA recording his solo album and ultimately left the group for the first time back in 1985-869 years ago
