Just just saw / heard THE GREAT Duncan Sheik perform a "World Premiere" with The San Francisco Symphony at Davies Hall in SF earlier tonight! ... He did a sweet "song suite" (!) - with (backed by) a full 100-piece Orchestra and Holly Brook! - from his new "Whisper House" album -- sure to be another Tony Award-winning Broadway show for him someday soon! ... We both really just LOVED it!!

Whisper House was one of the most disjointed pieces of theatre i've ever seen. Sub-par acting and cluttered plot. Good songs though.

I'm glad so many people seem to like it. However, and this is just my personal opinion, I didn't really like it very much. I fell in love with the female ghost's voice but otherwise I didn't connect with the show at all. It was kind of cheesy and the characters (except maybe the aunt) were quite 1-dimensional. I wish the story involved the ghosts a little more in other ways besides just the music. Also, I really disliked the way the curtain call was given with a song commenting on the show.

Such a great song! I saw the play at the Old Globe in San Diego and it was amazing! Great set design, music, and overall an amazing production. I love how Duncan Sheik can transform an ordinary play into an amazing musical production.
