Dozer - Days of Future Past [Album: Through the Eyes of Heathens (2005)]

Lyrics:

I will try to buy my freedom

I am cursed with golden chains

And the walls are getting thinner

Will I survive these phantom pains?

I still believe there's something wrong.

It's getting hopeless, cause it can't get much worse.

What other choices, should I have made here first?

There's no excuses, are we a waste of skin?

So does it matter? If I would lie down still.

Put the gun against my temple

Ask the question by my grave

Hope the end will make you wiser

Tell me where was God today?

All the rights about this song belong to Dozer.

Are there any other great examples in Stoner Rock for vocals with this kind of delay/reverb effect? I just love this effect!

I'm glad some musicians are still out there playing good music despite whats popular at the time.

Besides reminding of the X-Men storyline of the same name from the olden days (the lyrics too), the song just rocks! This is what I've had on repeat this morning.

@ pjam07pjam...I wasn't saying people are clueless for not knowing about Dozer. Why would I expect people to have heard of an obscure stoner rock band? I know a lot of music and I had never heard of them. My point was record companies are shoveling shit on the masses BECAUSE they are clueless and listen to that mainstream bubble gum bullshit. This is the stuff with depth and soul.

How could you call people clueless for not knowing about this band when you just admitted that you just discovered them??

There's so much I could say about this song, but I feel that silence and grooving is enough.

Skalala ;

My fav song by them, easily. The sombre intro to the heavy chorus. Epic.

It only took me 4 years to find this song after I heard it in a skiing video...It's fucking AMAZING.

This is honestly one of the best songs I've heard in the last few years. God damn it...it's from '05 and I'm just hearing it now...

@dreambig280 Bought the whole album on iTunes for 9.00. Pretty good deal for some the best shit I've heard in years. There isn't one bad song on the album. How I have missed out on these guys for so long, I don't know. But I wish the masses weren't so clueless when it comes to music because in my opinion, everyone should be listening to this.
