I don't even care that the guy who wrote this song claims it is not about suicide. I think he's ashamed after the fact, which is not really surprising considering the stigma that comes with taking one's own life. 'Redefining hapiness' to me is a brilliant line about ending your own sorrow. Romeo and Juliet DEFINITELY killed themselves. 'Came the last night of sadness, and it was clear that she couldn't go on', dude, come on. And even though 40,000 people everyday was supposed to be just a really bad guess at how many people die everyday, 40,000 poeple in the US commit suicide every YEAR, so the number makes sense, if you sort of stretch the imagination (40,000 people <every year>,but they do it EVERY DAY...). Fuck you, Buck Dharma. You wrote a great song, but you ruin it with your pathetic excuses.

@basketfullofspite Here's the thing, and i don't know how to reply, but what are the effects of just THC? putting smoke in your lungs is hell to your alvioli (prevents them from taking oxygen in  and such). so what about just THC, or any of the assorted chemicals unique to cannabis. What does that do in and of itself, and if so, are they bad? Their have been positive effects from marijuana, and possibly more with altered ways of consumption.
