I was in a band and suggested Open Road for our band name beacause I loved both this album and the visual free image of the open road. My band mates dug it even though we didn't play Donovan, we played hard rock covers. We also had a hard rock original called, "Open Road".13 years ago

My moms only copy of this album was on an old '32. It was warped and unusable. I found this album on E-Bay (from Germany) on cd and she was able to sing it word for word despite not hearing it for 20 years. Donovan has earned his place in the Rock Hall.13 years ago

Gotta be one of the great unrecognized album of the day! I remember the "critics" loved it and saw a shining future for the band, which incidentally was named "Open Road" (hence the title of the album). Sadly, the future had a lot more growing up to do and we just didn't know it at the time.14 years ago
