Know how good Jeff Beck's band was in 1968? They're backing Donovan on this track and it's about as stylistically distant from 'Wear Your Love Like Heaven' as possible. Not that it's... well, yeah, it is pretty lame, and was then, too. But 'Barabajagal' massively rocks with Beck, Nicky Hopkins, Ron Wood, and the gang. Classic and worth revisiting.

Donovan was one the greatest 60s musicians. The Poet of pop music for that era without a doubt. Never got his recognition i think becuase of legal problems at the time - his albums were not allowed to be released in the UK and stuff like that. Poor old Don.
