That would bring a tear to a glass eye. One of the best, if not the best versions I've heard of this song. I've got to start singing it again. Seems like no matter where it's sung people want to sing along with it. Sorta like Irene Goodnight. Waltz time and three part harmony gets 'em every time. Great job Miss Donna.

I thought I was the only one who put the quick "4/5" chords in that song. Ha, ha was I mistaken or what? Your voice was made for this song. I've heard a lot of people sing this one, but your version is the only one that sounds how the song should be sung. Your voice has the "family touch". Continued success.

Nice version. I've heard both "hear the wind" and "hear the train" blow. It's called "the folk process". People hear it differently. Some sing, "Hang down your head Tom Dula", and some sing, "Hang down your head Tom Dooley". Even though Dula is correct, "Dooley" is accepted. You say "wind" and I say "train". It's a coin toss.
