Don Williams - Down the road I go 1982

Released 1973

I guess there's not much I can do or say

Saw my baby with another guy today

Though I love her and I try to tell her so

It's hello blues and down the road I go

Well I've never seen that guy before today

He held my baby in close this way

And the way she snuggled close to him I know

It's hello blues and down the road I go

Well it seemed our thoughts were much alike,

Our likes were much the same

We even had our future planned

'Til in the town he came

Well I've never seen that guy before today

He held my baby in close this way

And the way she snuggled close to him I know

It's hello blues and down the road I go

(Instrumental)

Well it seemed our thoughts were much alike,

Our likes were much the same

We even had our future planned

'Til in the town he came

Well I've never seen that guy before today

He held my baby in close this way

And the way she snuggled close to him I know

It's hello blues and down the road I go

It's hello blues and down the road I go

The Country boy. I love this man and his sweet country musics very much which each reminds me of different places, events and sweet loving friends.

fritz51347:First,thanks for posting this video. It's great(for so many reasons.) This 1982 version of this song(compared to the 60's one when Don was a member of the Pozo Seco Singers) is more upbeat, with the electric guitar. Also,Don's bass-baritone voice really shines through. All in all,it's a great song. Once again, thanks again for posting this video.

I don't usually comment on stage clothes but if you can play lead with Don Williams you can wear whatever you want

I don't really care what he wears either, he's a heck of a picker. It's just a little goofy to play a concert in your long johns, don't you think?

He's a good guitar player and sounds like a cool guy. I question his outfit choice for this show though haha.
