I was a DJ with Jim WW Travis at KICK 92fm in Round Rock. Don came in and gave us a copy of his CDs. We played them a lot as we loved his style of music. "Down At The Cantina" was one of my personal favorites. He truly was the "Pavarotti of the Texas Plains."

I discovered Don Walser 's music on a TV show called "Club Dance" that was on The Nashville Network. This show was the way that I discovered a lot of good music

I remember this like it yesterday. What a blast getting to play music with ol' Don. I'm a lucky guy. That's Skinny Don on Bass, Floyd Domino on piano, Scott Walls on Steel, Gilbert DeloSantos on Drums, and me and Barbara Lamb on fiddles. We had fun. The dancers were tireless. Look at Don shake his groove thing. He always said, "Watch out, if I get all this to movin' it might not stop!" I miss you ol' Don.
