I remember FOLK music and Rock being played on the same radio station. This is as Folk as it gets. Love Don's work. He expresses AMERICANA like no one else today.

There's a song from the 80s by Fellow Texan Dan Seals called "Big Wheels in the Moonlight" which is a little more country, but has great imagery. The opening line is "Came from a town that was so small, Look both ways you could see it all". Where do these guys get that kind of writing talent????

This song brings back so many memories for me, Luckily i can still hear this at Lake James, sometimes,At Northfork there at the old Trestle at the wee hours of around 2 to 4 in the am. morning hrs,me an the dogs are in my camper and actually hear the train in the distance, and my memories go back to when i put Quarter's and penny's on the track behind my Dad's barber Shop in Forest City of the old Sea Board Line that ran through then, and could hear the train behind my house at the time as well. Even back then i would be on the track's for hours walking in one rail,Keeping my balance for as long as i could before finally falling off the one rail!, Now sadly' i believe its unlawful to even be on or around the rail road track's at all. Ha' wish i knew how many football field's i envisioned' that i went without falling back then on the ol' Sea Board Line! Thanks Don Henley, for this Awesome Song. By the way, The WHOLE Cd is Great, too!
