I was born in the 90's, and grew up in a time when music was changing, so call me old fashion for this. I recently got a turn table of my own, and I grabbed some of my dad's albums to play. I picked up Don's album that this song was on, listened to it in all its awesomeness that was put into that record, and I must say.....though I was not from that era of music, but I wish music would go back to those days.

I love the boys of summer.... when MTV, had the videos, and music, we all used to enjoy so much...MTV, made a horrible decision to cancel all that...kids today have no MTV....sad for them... I also loved Don Henley, we are both older now....

Hard to believe all the hate in this thread. Just one of the best pop songs ever written. Sure, Henley wrote the lyrics and had a lot of help with the music... duh... that was true when Henley and Frey led the Eagles; they had great musicians around them. But boy, could Henley and Frey sing lead?? Anybody better? Not. Who else could write great lyrics? ... who else could have driven the Eagles to mega success?? Get real.
