Jazz evolved from the Irish music brought in by the early immigrants, In Ireland, musicians would wander into a puband when there were 4 or 5 they would start playing, all 4 would play the chorus, then one would go solo with a tin whistle, then the chorus, then a solo with the Fiddle, then the chorus etc. Irish music is the same to-day, try it ! you get the same toe tapping feeling.

chyba Stwórca obdarzył Was takim fantastycznym wyczuciem tego stylu muzycznego oraz taką precyzją grania - nie przypuszczałem, że Holendrzy aż tak dobrze grają jazz - jestem zachwycony.

This is not true of bass sax players. We are awkward, hyped-up man-children - the Asperger syndrome poster boys of jazz.

I'm the double bass player in our band and I'm the happiest, smileyest geezer in the outfit..... but I am old. Keith Picot doesn't look miserable.... I've just taken up tenor and alto sax but watching Bert playing this I want one of them big doofers it's awesome. Bert you rock man. I come from a rock n roll / rockabilly background (36 years) but Dixie jazz looks and sounds so much fun to play

Hey I was considering doing this song for solo and ensemble; do you think you still have the arrangement for this?

@14echo I disagree about the grumpy old sod. I'm a doublebassplayer and I'm not old (just grumpy)
