TheRippingCorpse

@brooklynstudio I seriously can't be bothered to read your posts.

@TheRippingCorpse I do have to correct myself on one thing, however. A solo project CAN also mean one dude/chick doing everything.

@TheRippingCorpse (comment cont) ever said "hey lets try this riff", or wrote their own solo. The fact of the matter is, Murphy founded the band, thats all. But what I said about a solo project is true, I wasn't commenting on the band itself now was I?

@TheRippingCorpse Im sorry, is that what I wrote in my comment? It is true there are people who do every instrument, but this is irrelevant. When a person has SOLO PROJECT, they write all the songs, but it is of course up to them who they hire to play the other instruments. There are plenty of bands that had one single leader and song writer with different band members for each album i.e. Chuck Schuldiner. One person can't do it alone live. Now, none of us can say whether or not any of them

@brooklynstudio So are you seriously telling me none of the other guys had ANY input?

Andrew D'Angelo

@TheRippingCorpse the term solo project does not mean one person doing all instruments. it means the person whose project it is wrote all the pieces. wow.

@areswolf76 Disincarnate WAS NOT James Murphys band. And here is why. Bryan Cegon did the vocals, NOT James Murphy. Jason Carman - rhythm guitar, NOT James Murphy. Tommy Viator - drums, NOT James Murphy. Now that sounds like a band and not a solo project. I DO understand what you are saying, Disincarnate WAS James Murphys band in the respect that he formed it, nurtured it, took care of business, etc... but without the other musicians I don't think there would have been a Disincarnate.

its my opinion, something that I thought if you don't its somethind that doesn't concern me, every head it´s a different world mein freund, and I just making my point, and bro´, Disincarnate was the James Murphy´s band, he wasn't just a member, he made the duty of all guitars and bass, also the lyrics, if you can read the booklet you´ll see,so with respect, take a read first...

@areswolf76 you are joking right? Disincarnate, while being a good band were hardly anything new or exciting. Murphy is a great guitarist no doubt, but this album was very 'play it by numbers death metal' and that style had been done to death by the time the album appeared. The only reason Disincarnate gor signed was because James Murphy was in the band

Their live performance here is 99,999% accurate to their studio recording. It is unbelievable. These guys are tight. I don't personally care if James Murphy doesn't improvise here, it's fun to hear him play every note as clear as on the album. And that out of synch comment below is not true. This song has a few parts on the studio recording where the drums enter into a syncapated sequence that is off-shifted by half a beat, which they pulled off perfectly here.

I agree. I have such a close relationship with this album. its really so dark. was also my first Death metal cd and bought it on a gamble as well.
