Later years Mark has Been Performing a lot With Eric Clapton. And "Down to The Waterline" IS My Favourite Track off the "Dire Straits" 1st self titled album from 1978. Dire Straits Rules!!

Clean electric guitars sounded so fresh in 1978. This was then "FM radio" that I heard was dominated by Journey, Foreigner, Styx. I heard Sultans of Swing and my world changed. Had to drive 3 hours to find the album. Down to the Waterline was my favourite!

I dream about this song..it was part of the soundtrack to a hugely important time in my life , and I have never forgotten the daily thrill of being 16, in love ,waking up to Dire straits and dancing through my beautiful days back then in 1984. This still sounds as erotic as my first love was . Thanks for the opportunity to hear it..
