The reason for this sad state of affairs is,festivals these days are not for 'music lovers',they're seen as a 'rite of passage' for kids after they've finished college or Uni,it's just something they can tick off their list of things to do ie.had a gap year,travelled the world,been to Glastonbury etc. it means fuck-all to them,It's just something they can tell their friends about at their next dinner party.Cunts !

@Jowea omg, dont talk to me about yuck srsly..they were the band i was most excited to see and somehow i managed to miss the whole set! i love them, yeah they do sound very similar to both :) seeing them in november tho so all is good...did you see them?

@musicislove25 should have checked out Yuck at Reading this year man, they're ripping off Sonic Youth and Dino very blatantly but they are pretty good.

what i would give for dinasour jr to play at reading again....i pray to god they play in 2012. i love them so so much and what makes me sad is the amount of clueless people at reading these days who dont appreciate the music. i was there this year watching interpol and someone next to me actually asked "who is interpol"..it's so disgraceful.
