Dierks Bentley with the Punch Brothers. This is from his album, "Up on the Ridge." I do not own this song.

Bob Dylan made a great version of this song, but Dierks B. version is at the top of the list as a remake, love the blue grass version, such a great song from a great singer.

There's nothing wrong with two different groups performing the same song. But I would advise that anyone who enjoys this version should listen to O'brien's.

It's incredible how similar this arrangement is to Tim O'brien's version from a decade earlier. I hate to say it, but they basically straight-up stole his version. Look it up on YouTube and see for yourself.

a couple months late...oh well. this is a bob dylan song actually, but the premise of it is that the singer is waiting to set out on a journey with an unnamed "senor", and in the meantime the singer is remembering a bunch of nightmarish things they've seen along on the journey. the album dylan wrote this song for was the last one he put out before becoming a born-again Christian, so a lot of people think the "Senor" in the song is Jesus/God. Me, I just dig the tune. Bentley earns my respect

Kudos, taking my LEAST favorite Dylan song and making a masterpiece of bluegrass out of it

Thanks for the correct spelling. This is one of my favorite songs on the 50 year Amnesty Int'l's "Chimes of Freedom & The songs of Bob Dylan" 4 Disc album. It's a great album! Love Chris Thile!
