When it comes to guitarists, I prefer Bob Mothersbaugh to Eddie Van Halen. (I co-wrote a parody of this song once, focused on Portland pitchman Tom Peterson.)

Alan Myers has passed. Notices came online June 26th, 2013. He got tired of the soup du jour, his prophylactic tour has ended. RIP

You are totally right!! Devo had a time period playing New Wave but much of there best music is Punk Rock! Most people don't understand that true punk and new wave are totally connected. All Punk bands slipped into the New Wave category from time to time. Ramones, Sex Pistols, Blondie...I could go on and on...

@DawnOfTheDead991 If you don't consider DEVO a punk band, I don't know what you would even begin to CALL punk... they practically are the definition. Or maybe you think Sid Vicious r the punkest evr? Read a history book

Mothersbaugh= the most underrated, unsung, under appreciated Rock frontmen of alltime. This is sweet but watch him circa '80 or '81 doin' Slap yer Mammy/Gut feeling......Man was a (geekified) force of Nature....
