This is my remix (remake) of an old album track called 'Nothing to fear' by Depeche Mode. Finished on Sunday 28th October 2012.

The Depeche Mode album, 'A Broken Frame' came out in 1982 and was Depeche Mode's 2nd album release. Lots of great early analogue synth stuff on the album. This track 'Nothing to fear' was never a single, simply a great sounding instrumental album track that has always been a favourite of mine. Great sounding instrumental that still sounds fresh today.

My remix (or remake, really) is totally produced using Apple's Logic using as many analogue mono synths as possible to help me reinterpret the track.

The video uses part of the original album cover and replaces the sky with some time-lapse stuff which was recoloured and tweaked using Adobe After Effects. Titles created using Apple LiveType and final video & audio render using Apple Final Cut.

Totally non commercial, just for fun production. Let me know what you think.

Throwaway pop - that's a laugh, what do ya call the crap they've been producing the last couple of decades...throwaway 'altrock'??

Nice remix. I've been humming this track for years thinking it was the Sanxion soundtrack, completely unaware it was hidden on this DM album which I wasn't fond of *sigh*

Only recently discovered this track due to neglecting the first 4 albums as throwaway pop. Glad I found it,and love your interpretation. Brilliant effect with sky for visuals too
