This is actually the remix of New Life that appeared on the US version of Speak And Spell and was thus the only version heard in the US for the longest time. It's an interesting mix, but the spacey sound effects don't suit it much and I see some background vocals and other sounds were removed too. The original UK version is tops, but excellent tune either way!

Love it. Britain was full of highly educated musicians on the Dole, starving and competing. IQ translates into complex, beautiful music. This mix seems to have only slight differences from the album tune where late lines are tossed in with the early ones.
