Thank God for You Tube. I remember listening to Dr. Hook as a teenager in the late 70's, but now it is so awesome to see Dennis Locorriere and Ray Sawyer on the old and new videos. They seemed like pretty good friends back in the old days.

:' ) man at the end he seemed overwhelmed by the support so he felt to pressured he wouldve had more confidence i reckon if it was a smaller stage or so

HIs voice isn't great in this, but I saw him recently and he was in much better voice... But I think it is inevitable that a popular singer, who does a lot of singing, the voice wont be the same at 60 or 70 as it was earlier...

Yes the voice is going, but I'd rather see him than a lot of this new stuff. The man is a legend!

His voice has clearly seen better days - even though he looks almost the same as he used to. He has no "mix" or "head" voice remaining and his range has taken a serious beating - even on a song that requires very little range to get through. It's sad because the same warm, fuzzy tone he had is very much still intact. The common misconception is that your voice should disappear as you get older and that just isn't the case. If you're careful in all the ways one imagines you should be careful, a singer should be able to keep the majority of his range for as long as he/she needs it. From the sound of it, Dennis might be suffering from nodules.

I have always Loved this song. He still sings great even if he shows a little wear and tear like most Rockers of the 60s & 70s. Thanks Dennis and Dr. Hook. Roger in Burnet, Tx.
