After 13 years "alternative hip hop super group " Deltron 3030 released a long anticipated second album: "Event 2". We teamed up with Del tha Funkeé Homosapien and dj Kid Koala while the group was on tour, playing their new album.

The travelling clearly took its toll as a stomach flu raged through the crew. Dan the Automator was sick in bed, but Del tha Funkeé Homosapien and Dj Kid Koala joined us for what turned out a classic interview.

Don't be fooled by the slow start, Kid Koala's soft voice or Del tha Funkeé Homosapien falling off the table. In the end the interview lasted twice as long as planned. Both gentleman voice their opinion on The Gorillaz, turntablism, losing a complete Deltron 3030 album when Del's harddrive crashed, Frank Zappa, and reveal what the best album ever made is. A must see for every music lover. Check it out!

This was a great interview. Too bad the Automaton was sick. Fortunately I'll get to see the Funky Homosapien, Kid Koala and the Automator as Deltron 3030 on November 10 in SLC. I've been listening to these albums for quite awhile (the first for about a decade now) so I'm stoked for sure. Some of my inspiration to become a computer engineer came from the grand dystopian future imagined and laid out on these albums. Particularly from songs like Virus, Battlesong, Look Across the Sky . . . . Well, all of them, really. Mastermind, Pay the Price, Positive Contact, Love Song, et cetera. Even in the madness of today there is hope for something greater than any of us can imagine. In many ways that greatness already exists. It just needs to be employed for the benefit of all.In any case, I want to thank the three of you for collaborating on two exceptional albums. I'm certain It'll be an amazing experience to hear them live from Deltron 3030.
