Charlotte did not join until 2005. and thats when Delain became officially a band, so i suppose that why they say Martijn and Charlotte formed the band, but it had been forming for 3 years before that. the first year with Anne and the demos, and the next two years only working and re-working their songs and style before the release of their first album.

pt1. from everything i have seen about Delain it is always said that Martijn Westerholt and Charlotte wessles formed the group. i have read more and it was Westerhold who mainly stared it by himself. he started it as a "project" with artists he could find, then later it became a "real" band. Anne Invernizzi was his first female singer but was only with him for 1 year 2001-2002 and worked on the demos.

Music and lyrics reminds me of within temptations first albums Enter. And the dance. (Era with martijn westerholt) . martijn wanted to continue that style and start delain with this demo cd . while w.t. in that time wanted something new,different. Thats how think about it when i hear this song

This is not charlotte "Amenity is the first demo of the Dutch Symphonic metal band Delain. It was released in 2002. Martijn Westerholt, founder of Delain, doesn't regard this as the beginning of Delain: "I tried a few songs with local musicians, but it did not work, it did not really bring me what I was looking for." look it up

Delain was founded by Martijn Westerholt and Charlotte Wessels. There was no Delain without Charlotte.
