slam is gawdawful garbage music and brutal is - a coin flip, it will either completely rule or totally suck. Dehumanized were one of the first bands to ever employ the slam/brutal approach to the genre so what we have here: is a long-time-coming full length from the sub genres' pioneers. very welcomed!!

I normally hate "slam" death and dislike "brutal" death metal in general but this is a much more preferable alternative to what the genre usually puts out.

Collosal and Crushing Death Metal From New York. Just heard of them recently. Very much into the slamming-churning sound. I think "Controlled Elite" is an amplification and furthering of the sound represented on their debut "Prophecies Foretold"! Fucking Brutal!
