Eu cantei esta música em 1993 no Domingão do Faustão no quadro de calouros Tente o Sucesso! Foi uma honra competir e vencer! Que saudade! <3

This is an amazing cover, which in my opinion sounds much better than the original. The arrangement and vocals are out of this world. I remember Melvin Lyndsey and Manzi Pullen and other WHUR dj's playing this back in the days of great music, as a DC native.

Stripped like it is, it's amazing how much this song sounds like Billy Joel's " Just the way you are".

First time I ever heard this version. She sounds so much like Shirley Bassey ("GOLD-FINGER!" [Waa, waa, waa, waa, waaa!]) it's unreal! (She (Sharp) coulda stuck in the lines "My heart is COLD! I only love GOLD!")

I looked it up by a total fluke, because this cover has been on my mind. I found out the love of my life in high school had passed on, this was our favorite slow dance song. So right now, I'm just gonna close my eyes and be 17 again, for both of us. #1975

Wow! I really lucked up and rediscovered this version again... Actually, I had gave up on trying to find it because when I had first heard it in the 70's, I had lost track of who the artist was. I tend to love the songs on the B side of the album, as we used to say, when we had albums... anyway in my typical search for the hard to find songs, another difficult search was successful, (thanks to YouTube), I had finally found: (And you wish for yesterday), by Rose Royce! So I looked on the right hand column and saw Dee Dee Sharp and wondered if I would like some of her music since she was unfamiliar to me.So when I saw the title I said: I wonder if this is the song that I was searching for all this time? Then as soon as I heard the opening melody, magic filled the room; this was the one.10cc and Dee Dee... sounds good to me!
