I know, Deceased is infinitely better than Avenged Sevenfold but they've used that lick so many times it almost sounds like their trademark. Anyway, keep up the good work! Sincerely a new fan

to me if i'm trying to find something to compare it to, the intro to me is much more like 'victim of changes' from priest. avenged sevenfold can go be lame at a kirk hammett pillow fight.

Intro sounds like Avenged Sevenfold, which is borderline blasphemous but I can't find a way to describe it better.

while i disagree somewhat with your genre classification of this particular band.... you obviously have good knowledge of the death/thrash genre and that was a fucking GREAT response.......regards from San Diego.....

Perfect example: Possessed's Seven Churches and Death Metal were both examples of Death Metal with subtle thrash influence. These guys came out in 1984 too, only 1 year after Death formed down in florida. Necrophagia, Master and Goreaphobia formed in the early 1980's as well man. Its all offshoots of the same genre. Whereas Death went in a different direction, the three bands above (and Deceased) pioneered a style known as death/thrash, that would provide influence to countless other bands

my opinion...and I started into the genre with the first Possessed album.... which was somewhere around 1984 I believe....so I'm no newcomer to this......

You obviously have never heard of Master, Goreaphobia or Necrophagia, who were all death/thrash bands from the 80's along with Deceased. This is not the same Death Metal like Immolation, Nile, God Dethroned, Suffocation or Obscura, because those bands all took influence from bands like Deceased. Its death/thrash man, its has that old 80's feel to it, and there are good bands that still encompass this sound.
