I'VE FIGURED OUT WHY OM&M SUCKS NOW! It's literally because Shayley left. Not only did he take his uniquely great voice from them (which OM&M have replaced with a mediocre at best vocalist that doesn't even compare) but he took his strong bass line sound too! I'm not entirely sure if it's him playing bass in Dayshell (I'm still new to them) but the sound and tone of the bass line alone is very similar to his playing in OM&M, just much more prominent and better applied to a very well thought out and much more fitting sound IMO. Shayley is a great vocalist, and I feel he really didn't get all the credit he deserved in OM&M. He was great with them, but better here. New fan was made of me and I've only heard one track so far.

I never understood how OM&M blew the fuck up (even more then they already were) after shay left, and Dayshell never really did. Don't get me wrong dayshell is having some success but not nearly as much as they deserve. Shayley is what made OM&M special; imo anyways. I guess this genre doesn't have as many fangirls to popularize a band like post hardcore does lol
