Liz, there is a real anointing on this...I could feel it the minute he started singing...you know, I am okay, or should I say it is well with my soul...but lately there is a longing to go deeper and higher in the Lord. I can just FEEL His spirit pulling on me...and there has been more intercession, prayers and worship. It's so hard to explain to others...because I have so much Joy...and yet it's like an empty place that ONLY God can fill. I have wanted to pull away and separate myself during the day...and just spend time with the Lord...and I get frustrated when I am distracted or have to stop for 'life'. lol. Anyway...xx thank you...put this into a playlist and I am going to check David Meece out too...(he sounds a bit Irish) and I remember him from years ago. Would you ever have a problem if I made my own video with this or others. Loves xx

i grew up in a similar situation too. do you know david's story? about his father's drug and alcohol use? tragic. his father and my stepfather would have been great drinking buddies. my stepfather was a drunk among other things. next to the music i have to admire the man for telling his story.

I have "cruicified" by David Meece and I'm trying to upload it on here because I haven't found it anywhere but somehow it 'snot working for me. Hallo, Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I considered long and hard before I put the nude into this video. I try to place pictures that might fit the lyrics of a song. There is no scar that runs deeper than those who have been hurt in this way. Whether self inflicted, as in adulterous affairs, or molestation of any kind. Those are the scars that run the deepest. They wound the inner person and tear at the conscience very deeply indeed. Yes, it does bring it home in a real and sobering way.

@Aner327 Thank you very much for your kind words. I have always liked these two songs by David Meece. Since coming to live in the USA they took on a whole new meaning to me. "Brokenness" speaks of betrayal, pain, anguish and sheer unadulterated sorrow at the way "friends" have treated me. It is made to one such person in particular. I have no-one to turn to when trials come my way, other than my Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus. "By the Waters" says much about my life before Christ and now.

Dear Afrikitty, - - These two songs of David Meece, "By the Waters" and "Brokeness" have been a musical centerpiece in my heart for about 12 years. They, better than most any other song I've heard, demonstrate the true beauty of rest and brokenness. I really like what you've done with the pictures. @februaryjacqueline Hi Jacqueline, I thought long and hard about using that picture. As it is, I have aged it, so it is not as clear as the original. I have had MANY PMs about that picture, as nobody will post publically. I put it in, because of the fact that many men and women are saved right out of adulterous affairs. This is the SEVERE mercy of God in action. However, when one is saved out of this, the fatigue and physical and metal tiredeness suffered is perfectly portrayed in that picture.
