I want to be an old man playing this through the whole house repeating on vinyl with decent speakers hooked up, dancing with my wife while we both sing along. I considered adding a nice bottle of liquor to the picture but no, we'd be so content with eachother we wouldn't even want to drink. maybe sip some 43 for the taste. the kids will be away at college. maybe is a Tuesday, but we both called into work and decided to have a mini stay-cation together.the next morning we'd wake up and lay there for close to an hour just talking and laughing together. then we'd shower together and make some breakfast. eggs pancakes sausage bacon pizza. whatever we wanted. then we'd take the day as it went. go out and see a movie? stay in and see a movie? go get sushi? a walk through the park where we used to hangout when we were young? the zoo?it wouldn't matter because we'd be happy. we'd grow older, grayer. our kids would visit often and never be burdened by us because they loved their parents so much and the bonds transcended into friendship, still with all the fatherly and motherly lovemaybe we'd move somewhere quite, both retired and taking up hobbies together. and when our time was running out and we both knew it we'd be perfectly content with whatever awaits us in the next life, even if its nothing at all. my only hope would be that she would pass first, because although the pain would be great, it'd be less than what I'd feel knowing she was here without me.and when my day came, I'd remind our kids once more of how much we love them, and that everything is always going to be okay. and id follow her into the dark, thanking god, the universe, or whatever higher power that was around to hear it for a wonderful love.until then, I'm going to start pouring some shots and wait. ive got my first winter semester class tomorrow morning. maybe I'll meet her there.I know one day you'll find yours, too, and if you need a friend in the meantime im here.much peace and love to all of you
