Sorry, I don't know well the technique of "swat", so I'm not able to respond. I hope that someone else, more experienced than me, can do it. But I can say that Bowie has always had an immense esteem and tune with Gail Ann Dorsey, excellent bass player. It seems to me that the bass sounds on two lines, which alternate along the track, giving a good snappy space to the Alomar's beautiful riff. Thanks for the comment.

What was that swat at the bassist in the opening? This song has bass as the lead guitar. No confidence in his bassist? I wasn't at this show, so what gives? Weird. Prefer the bass to take the lead in this tune.
