"I praise to you, nothing ever goes away...". Intense song, one of the highlights by "Earthling".

No, is Reeves Gabrels. Adrian Belew (besides Frank Zappa, also King Crimson and Nine Inch Nails) was part of the Band of David Bowie with whom he released the album "Lodger" and has collaborated in his Sound+Vision Tour. Reeves Gabrels, eclectic artist who had played with Benny Goodman, was an essential component of the sonority of Bowie: he formed with DB theTin Machine, then has been his lead-guitar in "1.Outside", "Earthling", "Hours". Thank you.

This album is simply absurdly good, one my favorites ever. Caught Bowie in 98, was my first big concert.

This performance is superb, full of energy, a pleasure to watch and listen to. It is also one of my favourites songs from Earthling. Thanks for this video, Fiorella!

@Scoobydoonut Music has always inspired the human heart and, surely, what it springs depends both on the musician, both from the listener. Bowie has been clever to create a wide range of stimuli with a touch of fine irony able to leave the listener free to think, but always dragged by a trail of joy. The listener, sensitive as you, knows to find expansion of consciousness in his inspiration. Warm thanks, my darling.

@VampireBowie The deep and compassionate interest of Bowie for Tibet has been known since 60's. A poetic reflection comes close to Mahāyāna (doctrinal corpus of KU, Vacuity, also called "Nothing"), verses that hint to an inspired status-kind with which we can see, in a grand backdrop of special stars and of ancient snowy mountains, the essence of all existence with the mind-eye, even without a brain, surviving beyond the shadows of impermanence, nothing ever goes away. Many thanks dear Pete.

@redsails2008 To me this song is an experience of incomparable sonority: atmosphere of calm suspension, dominated by the slow and soft sax-sound of DB, almost Blues, interspersed by the uncontainable drum'n'bass of the excellent Dorsey/Alford and by one of the best tone ever imagined on a distorted guitar of Gabrels; Bowie's voice is full of pathos, shining, destabilizing; the style is modern, elegant... every time bewitches me. Thank you, dear Lady.

"Seven Years in Tibet" is an autobiographical book. It details the travels of an Austrian member of the national socialist party who attempts to climb a mountain in the Himalayas. In Tibet he befriend the then child Dalai Lama. He experiences their peaceful Buddhist ways and realizes the shameful error of his past beliefs. Thank you, for this excellent video. One of my fave songs.
