in a recent interview in Guitar Player, Earl said, "for David Live, i had a gibson sg, an mxr phase 90, and a 50-watt marshall. and that's it." it don't take much when you really know what you're doing! his playing on this record was a big revelation to me, many years ago and Earl Slick's been a favorite ever since.
