Gotta agree this is the best live version of Heroes. The loudness, Bowie's vocals at his career peak and concert production quality top his Live Aid version and his Freddie tribute version imo. Oh and Earl delivers the goods on this and China Girl. Who cares bout da hair? Crank it up and close your eyes. Eh?

Little known fact, David Bowie used Ozzy Osbornes stage lighting for this Serious Moonlight tour.

I am really surprised that this youtube version of 'Heroes' doesn't have more hits . This was done really well !! Brings back great memories of when I met this entire band outside a Philly hotel elevator in 83' . All except Bowie ! Untouchable !

Cheesy? Is that really the best you can say about Earl Slick and Carlos Alomar? They're both very established and extremely talented. The effect he went for and successfully achieved here was making it "sing" not shred.

Great sound quality on this. My friends went to this show in Toronto in 1983. I wanted to go but could not and felt horrible. Seven years later he came to my city of Moncton, NB, Canada and played a 7000 seat venue and I got to see him. Never in a million years did I think I would see him in a smaller venue but he came and put on a great show with Adrian Belew on guitar and covered White Light, White Heat by Velvet Underground and opened with Space Oddity.
