i saw SKID ROW open for GNR in cleveland 1991 and SR were awesome. I was most impressed with scotti. Skid Row was very very heavy and ass kickin which i wasnt expecting. Best opening band i ever saw

Also, the average listener is NOT a song writer. Sadly, some people don't even THINK about who is doing the song writing. That is why so many people go crazy for boy bands like ONE DIRECTION - they don't care or they are unaware of who does the songwriting. It's sad but true. I am a songwriter who has suffered the same 'lack of credit' in the past when all of the credit went to my singer who couldn't write a song to save his life and he hardly did ANYTHING for the band we were in.

I have a theory. It's because the average listener mainly listens to the vocals. This is because they are not musicians, so they have less understanding of the instrumentation. As a result, they don't relate as much to guitar, drums, etc even though it's a vital part of the sound. But EVERYONE has a VOICE. Everyone can sing along. They grew accustom to Bach's voice being that he was the 1st singer they heard with Skid Row, and there's no denying Bach has a unique & incredible voice.
