Unfortunately that's not possible. Dave was born in 1969. He would of been 15 or 16 in 1985 so he couldn't of been a bartender. He also did not move back to Charlottesville until he was 19 or 20. After he turned 18 he immediately moved to NY (for a second time) then to Charlottesville.

Around 1985, I was in Charlottesville to see my sister and went into a bar off the campus of UVA. The new and nervous bartender was DM. If I was not his first customer, I would be amazed. Would love to ask him and I left a 1.75 tip. Wonder if he still has that dollar. I felt for the nervous new American and wanted to leave a 5 but was too poor. Early 90s I put it all together listening to a fan talk about him. I know little about artists just listen.
