Daryl Hall performs "Everytime You Go Away" with Billy Joel & Bonnie Raitt at Farm Aid in Champaign, Illinois on September 22, 1985.

A performance from the first Farm Aid benefit concert. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp founded Farm Aid and serve on the board of directors. The three agreed that family farmers were in dire need of assistance and decided to plan a concert for America. The show was put together in six weeks and was held on September 22, 1985 in Champaign, Illinois before a crowd of 80,000 people. It raised over $9 million for America's family farmers. Performers included Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, B.B. King, Loretta Lynn, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and many more.

Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's Board of Directors in 2001 to help further Farm Aid's mission of keeping family farmers on their land.

Check out G. E. Smith on Guitar. He was the lead guitarist in Hall & Oates, and the original musical director for Saturday Night for many years. Also married to Gilda Radner for a short period of time.

Amazing musicians, G E Smith, T-bone, and a drummer. They know what the beat is! By the way, what's the name of the drummer?

A Great Performance, I do prefer the Live @ The Apollo Version Better, Since it Feats: Hall & Oat's, Eddie Kendrick & Carl Ruffin. Not to Mention a Entire Horn Section. And What's Wrong With His Hair ?

I was there, a bit mildewed from the rain, not stoned, because the "pot" we'd bought from some dude was probably actually lawn clippings, at this moment when Daryl Hall took this song back from Paul Young. We were pretty far back in Memorial Stadium, so I didn't realize until now that Billy Joel and Bonnie Raitt assisted.

Hall should have recorded this tune. I remember watching this the very day it aired. At the time, I had no idea who Bonnie was...now I LOVE her. Finally, Billy played the hell out of that organ...Billy Joel was channeling Billy Preston on that one! Brilliant performance all around.
