In reply to Stefan Hundhammer, it sounds to me she's either got a sore throat or hasn't been singing for a good number of years and is out of practice; and of course people's voices do change as they get older.

She's still got a great voice, but it's no longer the voice of the young girl she was in 1970. Sorry, but that Granny voice just doesn't cut it for me for this song. It just doesn't fit to the image of a young girl in love standing on a flowery meadow that this song brings to mind.
