It's true that Dan Hill's breakthrough single, "Sometimes When We Touch", hit #3 in 1977, but it wasn't his first charted single to hit Billboard's Hot 100 chart. His first single to do so was in 1976, when he peaked at #67 with "Growing Up", taken from his self-titled debut album. "Growing Up" missed the Top 40 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, getting as high as #41, but hit #30 on the Canadian AC chart. This powerful song deserved a better chart fate.
