i think the songwriter is just narrating his infatuation over the girl who does yoga.He is just witnessing her profound existence and not disrupting it. " there's no need for me"....she gives like a morning sun..just gives does not ask...thus songwriter is graced by her beauty and her elegance. the part where he describes her lover, who lives in hills. is also perfect for her..even the dos that run are perfect as well. the moment is also perfect. he is just observing it. just witnessing it and is almost in awe when he is blessed by beauty elegance. Damien rice is a poetic songwriter, he uses tons of metaphors in songs. He particularly songwriter who captures moments in his songs..and makes it bigger in his songs. He also wrote song called Aimee, where he asks her is there is change coming at the end of the century, with also space ship flying. he is free spirited songwriter, i think he sometimes just runs with unconscious mind when he is writing. almost like he writes in trance. in poetry "jack Kerouac and many beat poets used this method as well.all and all..simple..minimalist..song that delivers such potential songwriting and unique arrangement and instrumentation. and always we are blessed by Lisa...she is just beautiful..all over this song

People are asking the meaning of this song. I think it is open to interpretation. I am a yoga girl. I wear white a lot. My friend goes through the dump for jewels. We have a sweet relationship without really giving or getting much. It just happens effortlessly..I believe most music is wonderful because WE get to hear the words and apply them to our lives. Basically music is a healer. Love this song. Makes me feel like the world is ok.
