I bought this single when it came out here in the UK (early 1997) - it managed to go Top 30 after Cyndi did a week of TV and radio promotion, but can't help but wonder how well it would have done if her record company had helped her more...

Somebody wrote they saw some Madonna here? funny you should mention. Madonna only had to admit to the "INSIDER" on the red carpet that she certainly did rip off Cyndi Lauper's style and looks in the 80's. Well why wouldn't Madonna copy Cyndi's original crowd pleasing costume and jewelry ? after all Cyndi basically impacted fashion on a scale we couldn't begin to imagine, having an entire generation of girls trying to dress like her few people can say they had such an impact. So if Cyndi ever did copy Madonna after the 80's were over with than Madonna had it coming. Tit for tat. but personally Lauper didn't need to copy Madonna because she was way too creative to dress like a straight up hooker.
