Crow's am radio hit, Evil Woman, a controversial classic from an era gone by. The music rocks on, with colorized random photos of women, evil or not evil, you decide. Picked up the song on the CD I bought from Crow's website (thx Rickyon).

From what Ive read, the band didn't want the horns. They were added after the fact by producer. I saw them live, Summer of '71; didn't need the horns. Plenty of muscle, GREAT band live...one of the best.

I still have this on a 8 track cassette. It's been molding in a drawer, try to find a 8 track player.

Still don't know what their singing about, but this is one of the most underrated songs of all time. It wasn't a big hit, but did make the charts. You can hear a BS@T or Chicago sound with the horns and the rest of the musicianship is superb.

I've had the pleasure of working with Dave Wagner in '97 at a large outdoor festival, we both hail from the same small So.Mn.town, always have a good chat whenever our paths cross. He knows it's "Cottage Cheese" for me

This song was done by Black Sabbath on the European release of Black Sabbath as the closing track. I don't know why they took it off of the US release.

"Nice Burton Cummings imitation there....". Uh, no, sorry, Steve Wright. The Guess Who were barely making a splash when this song was out, and Burtron Cummings had just joined them.Listen to the horns in the solo section, and you'll figure out that David Wagner was trying to imitate another David- David Clayton-Thomas.

They actually had a "best of" album come out on the K-tel label a number of years ago. Probably helped that all of them (including K-tel label) were from Minn./St. Paul area.

I wondered why Sabbath didn't release thir version in the states? Btw, I see some similarities between this tune and Black Night from Deep Purple. The main riff's are pretty close.
