this song has such a nostalgic feel to it. even though i watched cowboy bebop for the first time 2 months ago. i can't imagine how this song must feel to people that have watched this series from the beginning. i love this, i can see spike walking up the chapel, about to fight vicious, in my head.

I'm sure its just a play on metaphors about the trivial views of good vs evil when thrown into the thick of it meant specifically for the characters of the show cowboy bebop. But when I take that show away and just think of these lyrics, my mind wanders to some very unsettling scenes of horror like the atmosphere suddenly lighting up or a volcanic acid rain burning everyone around me while I run frantically to shelter trying not to suffocate and die like those in front and behind me. Or a bomb just went off and fire is literally raining down on everyone and I am about to die because there is no way out of this but I'm damned if I'm not gonna try anyway.

Cowboy Bebop, IMO had the most memorable music and some of the deepest, most memorable quotes ever. This is truely a masterpiece of a show. I'm not a very sentimental person but there is something about Cowboy Bebop that just "hits a nerve".
