I've shared this before; *Good Time Blues* by Count Basie and his big band. Including a solo by this weird bass player - all bass players are a bit weird of course, just ask +daniël bosold - and a very nice solo on trombone. #Jazz #BigBand

The best of the Basie big band. The introduction is classic Basie piano.

I can tell a Basie composition from the sax section alone. It's ALL good; brass and reeds! No one like him ever again.

And the brass section is 10 times that. The best brass section I ever heard. Ever. It is the brass section that let you recognize CB orchestra no matter the recording quality. And his piano of course

Count Basie had a beautiful touch on the piano, with a fine rhythm section; anyone who would intentionally destroy a dance pavilion--Dale Stoppels Probate Judge--should be run out of townl Roger Plafkin-Plafkin Farms, Ada, Michigan

Indeed. I've also experienced the levitating room effect--Herbie Hancock w/The Headhunters....it felt like we were in a flying saucer that was lifting off to rendezvous with the Mother Ship....Ha! It was an amazing experience, to put it mildly. Lol!
