I'm a cavalryman (19D1P). Proud of my brothers past and future be proud for our heritage and were we started. For as a cavalryman we will all see each other at fiddlers green and enjoy the cold beer. A place were all is forgivin. A place were cavalryman is truly at peace. Just put that Stetson on and tighten up those spurs and enjoy your cold beer. If you ain't cav. You aint shit

"It is well that war is so terrible, otherwise we should grow too fond of it."--Robert E. Lee to James Longstreet, on seeing a Federal charge repulsed in the Battle of Fredericksburg (13 December 1862)

War isn't the best of us. it is, though, the only response to those who would not bend to concession.sadder still, it's not those men that are called to fight in the conflicts they create.I am STILL 1st squadron, 2nd cavalry regiment -2nd dragoons. Like my brothers, whom I miss dearly, Age will not dull my saber's edge nor wither my aim. If you think it's the case, test our mettle.I am and always will be an American Cavalry Soldier.

My husband is a Viettnam Veteran and the reality of any war is often discussed in my home. This song gave me chills. Thanks so much for uploading. I will share this with my husband and my oldest son. I also love the cheerier version of this song, I think I will share that with them, too. Like the other side of the coin, so to speak. Peace.

Stonewall Jackson was an Infantry Commander her earned his name at the Fist Battle of Bull Run, outside Washington D. C., J. E. B. Stuart was Commanding Cavalry and was often reprimanded by Bobby Lee for leaving the infantry divisions without support. AND the South in general were out maneuvering, out Generaling, and out fighting the North for most of the first year of the War
