You can always "feel" the pressure on the soloists, back in these years, to complete the head of the tune, and all solos within the confines of the 3 minutes of a 78rpm side afforded, but here, Bird gets a few extra choruses to showcase his talents ! However, typical no mic on the piano ruins what could have been a perfect recording.

As mentioned by previous posters, this is incorrectly labeled. It is from Carnegie Hall on 9/20/1947.

Sometimes  some say its the fault of the dope. We all on dope. Whether the dope of status, whether the dope of urgency, whether the dope of money,  whether the dope of just air and water we all on dope. Yet for example if we look at Bird on that one live video we got when he and Coleman Hawkins were doin the do we all can learn and be schooled. Schooled! So we good. Yet good is not good enough. Parker parked to long lets keep striving to go and grow beyond high or dope and just be.... play your horn sing your song write your book, Love your families/ fAMi!Y

It's Bird's birthday today. Nothing else is pouring from my speakers tonight.

...So when does the bass drop? This is without a doubt the most disappointing dubstep/trap music I've ever heard.

Going to play this tune at an upcoming recital! It's my brother's favorite tune. :) I'll probably dedicate it to him like the jazzy little sister I am. Jazz just makes me happy. It's amazing. I am so thankful for those who created it up until now. It's also interesting to note that Philly Joe Jones threw a cymbal at Bird to stop playing one time. That motivated Bird to practice his butt off, only to become one of THE most prominent names in jazz. How do you like them apples?

You are absolutely right, and the great power of this music is it can mix with other music or culture. Think about South American Jazz or north European, or Balcan/mediterranean.

Look at a piano. It has black, white, brown (wood), and gold (pedals) all working together to make music. It's the same thing with people. Jazz, like every other type of music for the most part, is a universal language.
