(HQ digital stereo remaster) The final video "missing" from Concrete Blonde's 2002 DVD compilation "Still In Hollywood" - mind you they have a good excuse, as this song was released after the DVD. Again, the best quality copy of this clip on YouTube with remastered sound.

*It seemed like we would live forever; life was not this hard.**No we felt nothing much at all; but it felt great.**Don't you cry; it'll give you lines around your eyes.**You gotta try not to live so much alone.*#JennyLinskyPresents

This is a beautiful song,,to me she depicts the life of common ,folks,,freaks ,no ones,,,odd ones , who live their lives as normally as ,,normal people do. She gives us a peek in their lives about love ,friendship, romance , living, it shows that no matter who you are,, you exist in society living your life as you feel. ..

Concrete Blonde was the first music I could, truly, relate to. It was proof that there was poetry in music; a rare thing in the 80's (and beyond). I searched for this song, NEVER expecting an actual Blonde video of it. Initially, I wrote this album off (back in my "bitter days of only listening to old stuff"). So glad I gave this another chance because it is an AMAZING album. That was 10 years ago. Johnette has ONLY gotten better live. I, still, don't know if she's only trying to connect with the fans of her persona or if that's really her. Personally, I don't care. If it's only a performance then, FUCK YEAH! She does it better than anyone could. I believe it's her. I believe it's the BAND. I've been lucky enough to see them twice; Bloodletting (still have the marque posters) and 20 years of Bloodletting. LOL Anyway, this song means a lot to me.

Is there a reason why I think I recognize the drunk bartender?

Beautiful video message too. Giving of each other is the greatest gift we can receive & bestow. We need relationships and love to survive & to grow. Relationships are hard & very often painful, but the alternative is worse; making living unsustainable. Remember - that which connects us outweighs that which divides us. (Wow! a poem, kinda)

Still my favorite song from Johnette. Her voice and songwriting have only gotten better over the years.

I think the real travesty would've been, if you (and me) wouldn't have ever discovered this song. Better later than never.
