yeah everybody seems to have their own interpretation...the minds tendency to create a familiar language relationship when it simply cannot understand (same as our tendency to anthropomorphize animals and machines). There are no mysterious lyrics, only singing raw and inventive in it's highest form, as for meaning or lack of, only the singer/writer knows. The day I stopped anal-izing music was the day I began to truly enjoy it

Found these lyrics: Ruby is brow-beaten You'd feel danger there Ruby is brow-beaten You'd feel danger there However you are When you're split in half Tinderbox of heart Left a shell is all Ruby is brow-beaten You'd feel danger there Not quick with your feet But you ran for the edge So bloody and blunt Your big crystal eyes However you are When you're splitting in half Tinderbox of a heart Left a shell that is all Ruby is brow-beaten You'd feel danger there

@cleaboy1 Why are you arguing in the middle of this mesmerizing and beautiful track? :) Let the guy be... I think listening to this song is practically a religious experience of sorts anyway... let people take what they want from it, rather than put them down :)

@sweatyballox Ciao Bello! I hope my friend that people aren't offended, but I simply cannot allow this to go unsaid! As a young man in the mid 1980s when I first heard this track, I was so struck by the main "Mantra" that Elizabeth Fraser introduces in this piece "Heaven On This Very Earth.....Seems Impossible Not To Share It all"! Later I would embrace Christ and the "Gospels" and come to realize that it was the "Beatitudes" from Christs' "Sermon On The Mount" that I had Been hearing! Blaine

The video brings out a possible 'theme' of the song, namely an attempt to put into music what happens in the mind and soul when love strikes, uninvited.

Some of their older stuff sounds more atmospheric, haunting and dark with more bass or something. I like the far away vocals. I don't know what is said, but maybe that's the point. lol. The song takes you somewhere into the past. Thanks for upload.
