I had the privilege of conducting an interview with Chris many years when he came to RAF Scampton. A real gentleman and great musician. I must say that have a great liking for his more current style with the big band what a sound.

Chris Barber at his best,How much longer can he keep going.I've seen him SO many times, and he has always given his best. He's an icon. Sadly, these greats are fading, never to be replaced. These great jazz icons, both in U.K. and the U.S.worked for years to reach their place in life. Not the one night wonders we now have in the talent shows, though I have enormous respect for Simon Cowel.
