When they made their American Idol appearance a few years ago, Scheff alternated with Lee Dewyze on the lead vocals of a song - and my daughter, a music major in college and someone who was only vaguely familiar with Chicago, made the comment as she watched - "Wow … that's interesting … Lee is better than Chicago's lead singer …" True story.

and do the other CHICAGO band members REALLY think has any talent? He was a very POOR choice. from the start, The only reason they hired him was that he REMOTELY SOUNDED a little like Peter, and his vocals could be doctored in the recording studio. It's the LIVE performances that are BLOOD CURDLING. He is SO BAD, that now they have Keith Howland, Robert Lamm, and the new vocalist( that replaced Bill Champlin) doing Jason's vocals. He should just play the bass, and NOT SING at all!

Scheff fans are divided into two kinds of people. Those who are tone deaf, and those who are blood relatives.

Oh my God...FINALLY, another Chicago lover who agrees with me. Jason Scheff is THE WORSE! I'm SHOCKED and appalled that he has lasted THIS LONG! His voice literally makes me wince in pain!

I can't say it any better than drummer Danny Seraphin said it (to Champlin) "I'll stop over-playing when you stop over-singing." I'm so glad he's finally gone. Now if only Scheff could find the same door, I might start going to their concerts again. I'm not going to pay concert prices to sit there and listen to him butcher song after song.

Weird is an UNDERSTATEMENT...He was HORRIBLE. He screeched, hooted and howled out the songs. and very OFF KEY!

With this song we have the first Cetera/Champlin vocal blend. For some stupid reason Chicago-17 was more successfull than this album. Chicago-16 has Chicago-17 beat on all levels. Chicago-16 is less ballad driven and contains more rock songs and has the sound of a band playing with an edge. Hard To Say Im Sorry was and is way overplayed. Love Me Tomorrow is the only weak song to be found on Chicago-16.

Champlin did fine on these first albums. After Cetera left he just got weird …
