Not sure I understand the comparison of Chevelle to Tool. Okay sure, the guitar scrapes echo Adam Jones' playing style....but that's it. The guitar scrapes during this song sound like they are pulled right out of Tool's "Eulogy". But Tool's compositions are lengthy and feature many more changes in tempo and guitar riffs. Not to mention the variety of drum patterns throughout each track. The drumming in Chevelle is much more basic than Danny Carey's complex style.9 years ago
